Hiya! I’m Gemma

An award-winning content creator based in Dunfermline, Scotland.

I’ve been creating digital media since 2014 and would be delighted to capture the wee candid moments during your big day.

I’m a travel fan, dog maw, go-to events planner and unofficial photographer for friends and family.

I love a good TV show, fancy dress, and the occasional rave. I hate coriander.

A Decade of Digital Storytelling

I’m a full-time professional content creator, available for booking seven days a week.

Here’s a bit more about my experience.

  • In 2014, I started a travel blog called Two Scots Abroad to share my adventures with fellow travel enthusiasts.
  • This wee venture turned out to be quite successful, so much so that four years later, I left my full-time job as a high school teacher to pursue an unconventional career in digital content creation.
  • Over the past ten years, I’ve been named one of the Top 100 Women in Tourism twice and listed by Business Women Scotland as one of the top 100 female entrepreneurs in the country!
  • I’ve been featured in The Sunday Post, The Daily Record, and the Edinburgh Reporter and worked with hundreds of brands from the Scottish Government to NASA Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama.
  • My travel guides have helped over 12 million people plan their trips. I also publish educational and inspirational videos at Hiya Scotland (IG and TikTok). Don’t worry—I won’t record voiceovers on your wedding Reels!
  • I also help people plan trips to Scotland through one-to-one consultations, I love everything related to planning!

“After a decade in the travel sphere, I’m thrilled to marry my visual storytelling skills with my love of capturing real moments, to curate unforgettable keepsakes for couples (and brands) on their big day.”

My first wedding gig…

…was an impromptu request to film my friend Kathi’s vineyard ceremony.

As we arrived as guests at Stift St Peter Dornbach in Vienna, the bride and fellow Scotland content creator, Kathi from Watch Me See, asked if I would film their outdoor wedding ceremony.

See K & T’s videos here.

I got married in Austin, Texas…

The only aisle my husband was interested in walking down was on a plane, so we eloped to Austin in Texas and then threw a big Scottish wedding party at Thomas Morton Hall in Leith.

You’ll always remember the great people involved in your wedding day, our officiant was Sarah from Let’s Do It Vows…

Do you see it?
