Stylish Cottiers and Glasgow Botanics Wedding
Join me in celebrating Jordan and Chloe, even the west coast rain couldn’t stop this incredible couple who got hitched in July at Glasgow’s Cottiers in Hyndland.
I had the absolute pleasure of capturing content for this sweet couple, who shared their vows on the red carpet of this historic yet hip West End venue.
Hi, I’m Gemma!
A Glasgow-loving wedding content creator who is looking for fun couples to capture.

Glasgow Cottiers Wedding
The day starts at the Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel, where Chloe and her sisters greet me wearing the cutest of wedding morning outfits.
Hair and make-up are pretty much done, and they’ve carved out time for lots of creative play.
They’ve got props, and the hotel’s vintage luggage trolley – these girlies mean business, and I am so down for it.
It’s clear from the onset that this stunning bride gets wedding content creation; it feels validating for my craft to be seen!
We spend around 90 minutes creating content, whirling Chloe around in the vintage luggage trolley as the photographer (Lewis Macmichael) snaps and strobes with his flash, and I start forming the digital wedding story through iPhone video.
Chloe and her bridesmaids do a quick run through of some TikTok trends (Paolo is exhausted) and transitions (Fight for Right to Party and an easy morning to night change), then it’s time for the curlers to come out and dress to go on.
After a slight hiccup with the veil, kudos to Megan Lindsay for working out a solution, we’re off down Byres Road to Cottiers, the girls in wedding cars and Lewis and I in his.

The groom, Jordan, stands nervously facing the guests, then the three-manual Father Willis organ fires up playing “Don’t You Want Me” by The Human League for the bridal party’s entrance before Chloe walks down the aisle to “She’s a Rainbow” by The Rolling Stones.
The officiant, TJ Thomson, keeps the ceremony running smoothly.
I love capturing TJ’s weddings as I know I’m guaranteed a phone-free ceremony, which means no one is jumping in the aisle to take shots on their iPhone 11 or antique iPad.
A chorus of ’oohs’ and ’ahs’ fills the room when the couple’s dog, Sydney, patters excitedly down the aisle with the rings.
Chloe and Jordan seal the deal with a kiss and an epic dip to a backdrop of insane flower installations and cheers from their family and friends.

Glasgow Botanic Gardens Photoshoot
After a speedy round of family portraits in the theatre at Cottiers, the couple and Lewis hop in the wedding car to the Botanics.
I hit priority ride on Uber, which means sweet FA as the driver takes an age to make his way to the venue.
Chloe assures me she’s not entering the glasshouse until I’m there; she’s honestly the sweetest person, which is backed up in Jordan’s speech, when he states she cares for others so much.
No stress, I arrive in time to grab the wedding car driver’s brolly and open the door of the Botanics for Chloe and Jordan, giving the international visitors a wee show.
After strangers congratulate them and enthusiastically instruct them to have lots of babies (!) Lewis arranges a couple of shoots where the lush greenery pops.
Chloe is hoping for scenes that include the dreamy veil, and Lewis delivers.

Cottiers Reception and a Wee Surprise
Then it’s back in the car to Cottiers, bypassing the rain and entering The Attic where guests are waiting to watch the couple smash open a piñata.
The stick breaks, the punch won’t do, so Chloe gets her nails in, and the second wedding photography shooter, Sam, has the crowd throwing the confetti.
After a quick walkthrough and detail shots, the transformed theatre opens with the wedding party bouncing in to “Kids” by Kylie and Robbie for a sit down meal, which is interrupted by a clang…

Yes, you guessed it, the singing waiters are at it again, and Chloe’s jaw is on the floor.
Jordan’s parents are the culprits, hiring the Singers Secreto to belt out a few tunes over dessert.
You can also read about the singing servers at Oswald House here.
The tone is truly set for the evening guests, who are privy to a cute and cheeky first dance with Chloe picking up Jordan’s bow tie and popping it in his sporran.
Then it’s a mix of pop, rock and ceilidh dancing plus “Daddy Cool” by Boney M for Chloe and her Dad before it’s time for the media team to pack up but not before I grab the gorgeous couple to finish this morning’s transition video!
I set to it early the next day, culling and lightly editing images, uploading video snippets, and weaving together Chloe and Jordan’s electric wedding story highlights reel and a video dedicated to Chloe, plus the TikToks and transition videos.
Chloe keeps me going with messages telling me how excited they are, and the “you’ve got mail” DM reaches their inbox at 16:52.
They publish the reel, making it official, and making me the happiest wedding content creator in Scotland!
