Hi, I’m Gemma – a wedding content creator based in Scotland who loves to capture fun couples, and I am always down for filming a TikTok or two!

Before we jump in, it’s worth noting that some TikToks require very little planning, while others will need to be rehearsed before the big day.
Time is limited and will fly by, so be prepared.
When it comes to filming, it is helpful to have two devices so you can listen to the trending song and film at the same time.
If you’re questioning your capabilities or worried that you’ll forget to complete your transition videos, it is worth hiring a professional Wedding Content Creator to capture these TikToks for you.
Note: For ease, I’ll use the term “actor” for any player taking part in the filming of the content.

1. Super Easy ‘Item to Camera’ Transition
Kicking off this list of wedding TikToks is a relatively simple transition video.
The actor presents an item, such as an engagement ring or bouquet, to the camera lens and pulls back to reveal a new scene.
This TikTok requires two scenes – a before and an after.
For example, cute PJs to dress reveal, or morning glam to reception party scenes.
You can choose whatever song you love, just avoid lip-syncing during the scenes.
2. Bridesmaids Clocking On
Even the least tech-savvy member of the bridal party can capture this wedding TikTok!
To film the scene, play the music and have each actor stretch as if they are getting ready to play an intense sport.
The TikTok song is called Sports, then some sports emojis.
3. Bridesmaid to Bride Bouquet
This TikTok is aimed at friends who are getting married within a short window of time.
The bride hands over the bouquet to the bridesmaid who is getting married next.
The bridesmaid presents the flowers to the camera lens, and the reveal takes you to the next wedding where she is the bride.
Any song works, but this example is Best Friend by ADMT.
Note: This TikTok can seem a little dull if the actors aren’t bringing energy, so add some bounce to it – think adoring besties going through this magical experience together.
4. The Wedding is Tomorrow
A very easy yet super cute TikTok is The Wedding is Tomorrow video, where a duo or trio sing to each other while holding hands, do a twirl and then put their hands up to the lens to signal a reveal.
The second scene then shows a bride and her chosen people in their wedding outfits.
Alternatively, scene one singing in bed with a zoom close-up on the engagement ring and a reveal in wedding outfits.
The TikTok song is taken from Mamma Mia’s Chiquitita (ABBA).
5. Wicked, Toss Toss
Wicked fans will need no explanation for this one…
Are you looking for something?
Or…
Someone?
Oh hello!
*toss toss*
6. High School Musical
This is one for the theatre kids and can feature every member of the wedding party.
During filming, each member is given a line to sing while doing something such as make up, combing hair, choosing an outfit, etc.
It does require that actors know their lines to the song, so best not to spring this one on your pals last minute!
The TikTok song is A Night to Remember.
7. Paolo is Exhausted
If you’ve been using wedtok to plan your big day, you will definitely have come across the Paolo is Exhausted trend.
The video requires some lip syncing to The Princess Diaries scene while pointing to printed out photos of the bride.
Majesty Paolo is exhausted…
Only Paolo can take this and this…
and give you…
a princess!
8. What Are You Wearing Tomorrow?
The first scene features the bride mouthing, “What are you wearing tomorrow?”
Cut to scene two, where the bridesmaid replies, “green/pink/etc wanna match?”
The bride is back for scene three, where she states, “I can’t, I’m wearing white”
Then it shows a montage of the bride in white and her bridesmaids and chosen people in colour.
The TikTok song is Scott Street by Phoebe Bridgers.
9. Day ‘n’ Nite Put on the Sunglasses and Pose
A very popular wedding video, Put on the Sunglasses and Pose trend, requires guests to pose while wearing glasses, usually with the wedding date on them.
The video tends to start with a short clip of the wedding couple and then flashes images of guests posing in shades.
The TikTok song is a Crookers remix of Day ‘n’ Nite by Kid Cudi.
10. Shades Circle
Keep your shades on because now it is time for the Jump Around shades circle trend.
This can be a little tricky to get right timing-wise, so it is best to try and film it before guests are too “festive”.
Grab a small circle of friends, place the filming camera phone on the ground facing up, play the tune, and start forming a circle with everyone in the group looking down at the camera.
Hold the circle pose for a beat and screenshot this image.
The TikTok song is Jump Around by House of Pain.
11. ABBA Knee Dip
Trickier than it looks, the ABBA knee dip needs the bridal party lined up in their dressing gowns or PJs with one arm pointing to the camera for “you know what I need”.
Then, for “voulez” heads turn to the back, and hands touch the shoulder in front, during “vous” heads turn to the front, while the body dips and the knee rises.
The second part of the video repeats the dip, and the dancers are in their wedding outfits.
The TikTok song is Voulez Vous by ABBA.
12. Bump
Not quite a wedding TikTok, but I love these wee dance vids.
It starts with a roll of the drums, then a hip bump, then actor two does a wee salsa and spin, bumping into actor three, then so on.
The TikTok song is an original sound by Maddie Borge.
